Welcome to Dodge forum to lostzerocool and lcalvojr

What you need to do is find out what codes you do have. Sure it could be a sensor or an open wire. But you could also have a main power relay code too. Thats why you need to know what your code are.

Give us the code you through. Turn the key kinda fast.

2000 and newer directions:
Turn the key to ON (not start), OFF, ON, OFF, ON and leave it there. If you look in the odometer window the codes will flash any code(s) with a small delay between each result. Each code should be in a P#### format, and will say PDONE when completed - turn your key to OFF and remove. Use the OBD code list to determine what problem the computer detected.

Default abs and brake light help!

I have a 98 dodge durango 5.2 V8 with 2-wheel abs. I have replaced the abs sensor on top of the rear diff as well as the transmission output sensor.....and the abs and brake light is still on! I have went through the front and rear brakes throughly and my truck stops on a dime. However those lights sometimes come on and stay on or they will come on later while driving. They dont go off until i turn off the truck and this story will repeat itself all over again. I had the abs system scanned by local repair shop and was told that the rear abs sensor was the problem.....i dont understand cuz i have already replaced it. this is the only problem left with this truck....please help so i can finally enjoy this vehicle. Also my tire size is 31x10.50R15 if that has anything to do with this problem

it is possible that you got a bad sensor out of the box.

also did you reset the PCM after replacing the sensors?

That could be very true cuz the sensor comes with 1yr warranty. Is there a way to test the sensor? I also unplugged the negative battery cable during the 2 sensor installs and it was unplugged for more than 30 minutes. How do u reset the PCM? And does that also reset abs module as well?

Default ABS sucks

I've been working on mine for a while, when we bought it, it had the ABS light on, and BRAKE light on, but nothing else. Speedo worked, brakes were fine, though came to a screeching halt if hit hard. Well tonight I found a local guy that has a ABS reader, and drove over to check it out. He hooked it up, and tried several times, but the reader kept saying "No Communication try again."

So I'm assuming since I've tested all my sensors and everything came out good, til I tested the system it's self to find out what the codes were....that it's a bad computer? not sure what else to do at this point.
