Default 2002 Durango - overfueling/MAP reading

Have a 2002 Durango with the strangest thing. Tore it down to put new valvetrain and timing components in. Get good compression, spark plugs firing. Seems to be getting WAY too much fuel, as the only way to get it started is to either pull the fuel pump relay [in which case it runs for about 8 seconds], or to stand on the gas pedal as you crank, then let off as it starts. [in which case it runs for about 2 seconds] Smell of fuel is strong.

I'm open to thoughts, but I'm wondering what other folks have as a reading on the MAP sensor at key-on. Manual says 4.5 is max, I'm reading 4.77 at key on, with a drop to about 4.75 during cranking. I think I've got a bad map sensor, but I might also have a bad PCM....

Other thoughts/suggestions?

Fuel pressure is at 49-52 PSI.

Also, getting p0123, but TPS checks out as OK [0.6v fully closed]

Listening tonight, I hear the IAC cycling a lot after key-on. Doesn't seem to settle down until key-off.

Just some more data points.

So, after some more fiddling and a little bit of accidental discovery, have a vehicle which, after sitting for a little while, will now start and run for about 3 seconds.

Discovered this by having left a couple of injector electrical connections off and going to start it. To my surprise, fire in the beast. Ran rough for about 3-4 seconds, then died, wouldn't restart.

Next night, hit the key again, same thing. Replaced passenger side injectors with some junkyard pulls, now I can get the same thing with all injectors connected, but it has to have sat for more than 4 hours.

Think I'm going to replace the driver's side injectors and see where that gets me.

Anyone else have suggestion on where to go next or how to proceed? Would be really nice to see this running by Christmas. Mom really would like to stop driving my beat-up Blazer. Which runs like a champ, looks like crap]

Your flooded with fuel.

Did you do a PCM reset on each time you replaced anything?

See here at the top: Engine Code Index (Check Engine Light?)

Did for everything except last injector swap. Not sure how that would matter, as I'm not able to get it to run for more than 6-8 seconds, but I'll reset it tomorrow evening and try again.

Wondering if IAC might be part of problem as well. Maybe prop throttle open just the smallest amount....

Air hat hasn't been back on engine for 2 weeks. Troubleshooting is easier that way. AM gonna try propping door open slightly tomorrow, maybe remove tps sensor from end of shaft to prevent adding even more fuel to an already over-fueled engine.

May have to check if oilpan is half full of fuel again, as well. [I think i had a couple of really jam-open-prone injectors]

Could be a bad air charge sensor, MAP, or IAC.
