Ball Joints
Well I have a serious issue in the front end. I replaced the upper drivers BJ as it was shot. Well the steering is loose between both wheels (thinking now I need a alignment). Well I figured I'd take it for a drive to charge the battery and I really find even more play in the steering. I thought maybe it's because I haven't really drove it for about a week and my new work car is SO tight. Well I was turning in my drive way (full 180) and went through a tiny drainage dip and SLAM a large pop! This occurred right as the wheel went into the dip. Well I had the wife turn the wheel drivers side and noda, turned to passenger side and POP! You can see it largely on the passenger side knuckle.
So now I'll be going through the entire front end in winter conditions!......FUN!.....Gotta brake out the dial indicator and go to work!
Thinkin a lower BJ the passenger side for it to POP like that!

I checked everything and can't find any movement other than the tie rod end. Right after this happened VVVV
I had her do this on flat ground at a stop and it POPPED as the wheel went to the Furthest pass side (right turn). While I was watching today I had her do the same thing and nodda but I could feel the movement in the tie rod end?

You could have a problem with the lower ball joints. Get a floor jack and raise from lower control arm. Using a large channel lock pliers and ck for movement between the lower control arm and the steering knuckle. If you do have any play, then you may want replace the lower ball joints. Also apply anti-size to the lock stops on the lower arms too.
