have a 2001 durango with a 360 ,, wont start now,,smell gas took it to a mechanic and he put in a new crank sensor ,,still wont start,,,have battery power and lots of cranking speed,,help

 

is the coil firing(pull a plug and hold it to the block while cranking)? how is the fuel pressure? and how about any more info on the problem, anything could be helpful

 

well it did it before, wouldn't start and went over one day and tried it and started right up, but chek engine lite was on, shoulda had it checked then but didn't ,,ran just fine till now,,,can hear fuel pump come 0n when i turn key on so know its not pump,,,no spark

 

make sure you have enough fuel pressure, just because the pump comes on does not mean it is putting out enough pressure have it checked

 

Also check for spark!

What was the code for ck engine lite? A bad temp sensor will give you a hard or no start problem too.

 

can i chek those codes with it disabled like it is?
