*another update* ok, i took some of the other guys' opinion and replaced the battery, however even though it was checked OK i still replaced it... and the outcome seemed to be ok, it seems it DOES run better but it still sputters when i stop... ALSO, i sprayed down some vacuum lines while it was running to see if MAYBE there was a leak, and I had no hits on that. i DID reset the PCM, and im still having some problems... anyone else have some idea's?!?

could there possibly be mosture in the gas tank? or something with the fuel like blackedout said? im running out of options and my military pay is NOT enough to be waisting haha... so any idea's are greatly appreciated!!! thanks everyone

my brother works at a dealership with a mechanic who has 30yrs experience at dodge, he said to replace the Idle Air Control Motor... my brother passed that on to me and i told him i replaced the idle air control VALVE, my question is are those the same thing?!? i keep hearing yes, and than no!!! im looking online right now for a motor and am only finding aftermarket performance parts. if anyone knows any info on this and a parts store online i can look up for it that's be awesome!!! thanks

the IAC and the idle air control valve are the same thing, its a little motor that controls a plunger in the back of the throttle body to adjust the air flow at idle

Clean the Throttle Body completely while your messing with it. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ttle-body.html

Then reset the PCM. Here's instructions at the first of the thread: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ine-light.html

yeah my truck would turn on, then go under the idol and completly shut off, no sputter and no power what so ever. i put some dry gas in cause it went bad it was old winter gas, i put like 15 bucks in which is 5 gallons in NY and some more dry gas and shook my truck to mix it a little and now it runs fine, just check it, you could have gotten moister in there somehow weather its humid or rain or even snow that had melted and somehow got inside.
