The pics make it look a lot better than it is. I don't think you can move 2" without finding a scratch on the paint, I don't understand how ppl let their vehicles get this way. But I'm hoping next year I'll be repainting the whole thing.

Hear ya there Venom,I'm not TOO scratched up but I do want to touch it up a bit...My big thing luck wise is I have NADA for body rust, that's huge considering I live on the coast....Only rust I have is the front bumper and that'll be gone with in a couple weeks......I'm with greasy on having fun with it also.Everyone here has helped a ton.I bought mine listed as "needs to be towed" but it's turned into my daily driver..and I still haven't gone over $1000.Don't think I could be happier with it.
(BIG props to everyone here for help n advice)

I bought my 99 D for $1500. Got an email from someone from one of my postings asking $2000, said it had a fuel issue and idled rough, and would shut off randomly when you put it in drive. Got it, drove it the 50 miles home, put on a new TPS and viola, purrrfect. Just needs a tune up and will be even better

I paid $550 for mine but had to put $1100 into having the tranny rebuilt which is a steal ;-) 2000 Durango 5.9 SLT looks and drives mint!

Bought a 1998 durango with 230k miles, 5.2L engine for $1700. shes a beater, but everything works and shifts normal, so im happy. full leather, third row, power everything. got a squeaky belt, but thats cool, no monthly payment, cant complain. its got little rust issues here and there, clearcoat going in one spot, but for its age, i expected no less.

At the start of 2013, I bought my 98' 5.9L SLT 4x4 Durango for 2100. It had a broken drivers seat, and had a clicking sound from under the hood, and leaking exhaust, but also had brand new offroad tires.

Dropped the tranny pan, bent a heat shield between the torque converter and the tranny, fixing the clicking sound. SOMEHOW, it got bent and was getting nicked as the parts around it spun. FREE

Put a Flowmaster on for $130, fixed the exhaust leak and made it sound better.

Re-mounted the drivers seat, now just looking for a matching replacement since the leather on it is a little tore up.

Only issue now is a idle issue that came up, but I believe it's the IAC, just getting second hand thoughts here in the forum about it.

Massive power, sounds great, shifts smooth, and 4x4's like a beast.
