Exclamation Need advice!!!!!! on 2001 durango idleing poor

I have a 2001 Dodge Durango 4.7 liter V-8 and when i come to a stop it idles down and shuts off or runs really bad. it also does it when i hit a bump it feels like its outta gear or has no power it lasts for abt 30 seconds or so. I have replaced the idle air control valve and now im at a loss! Please give me suggestions!!!!! My email is chrisgay3AThotmailDOTcom

+1 they say these and only these durango's are so touchy about the battery .. i would have it checked

low idle stumble is nearly always battery related on the D.

I'll get that checked i put the battery in about 2005 so maybe its about time to replace it. Thanks for the advice I will let u know back

yes 5 years is MORE than you should expect out of a battery just replace it and your problems will go away

Take your truck and get you battery load tested. If it tests fine then you're in for a TPS.

got battery tested it came up low needed to be replaced. Now it throwed up the code P0601

Sometimes you can clear the code and it won't return. But most of the time you need to replace the PCM. I think the PCM checks itself against the EPROM an if it finds errors it throws this code.

replace the battery, clear the code and see if it comes back, if so dolittle is correct, its a PCM replacement
