Hello all. I have a 2000 durango 2wd 5.9 autotrans. I have no idea why I can not get to start. It turns over good . I have pulled a plug and have spark. also checked fuel at rails and have fuel. change cam sensor also. no codes present. can it be a bad coil even though I have spark at no 2 plug ? how can I tell ? Don't have money to burn . the cam sensor cost 50 bucks and that was not problem and I can't return. can someone please help and thank you very much in advance.
and i did pull wire fron no.2 cylinder and had good spark so does this mean i can rule out coil, crank sensor, broken timming chain ? i changed crank sensor. no codes either. getting plenty fuel too.
going back to the easy questions.. when attempting to start does it try to kick over at all?? Do you hear a fuel pump when its just in the "on" position. do you require a jump to even crank it??
no it does try to kick over all, yes i can here fuel pump and i wore battery down trying to start but i put on charger for a little while when i try to crank. should i try to jump witn another car ?
the charger wont have enough juice to turn the truck over alone, the battery would have to be allowed to charge for a few hours before it would make a difference
