As you get older, you will appreciate the difference between "loud" from performance and loud from ignorance. Until then, just prove us right in the ignorance part whereas you have been repeatedly advised per above.

Go ahead and run without the cat and the muffler. Your neighbors will love you, as will the new mom's struggling to get their babies to sleep and old folks needing a few extra winks in the middle of the day. After all, you know best. I got it loud by doing a cat back with dual cherry bomb mufflers and dual rear out. People definitely give me looks :P LOL

We can give you more throttle response without messin with the neighborhood fellows. Why you wanna act line a 16 year old tryin to make a statement like "I'm here"? The reality is nobody cares, they just don't wanna be disturbed.

It's just like some Honda outside that has a exhaust system on it that sounds like a hollowed out tin can and the TPS is broken so the thing sits out there with the throttle going up and down constantly while it is warming up. Then you find yourself pissed off and strutting over there just to put your fist through the window (regardless if the door was unlocked) and porring red soda over the interior and grasping the key from the ignition and throwing the f**cking key into the middle of a snow covered farmers field for them to plow it 6 feet under.

The pure ignorance to want to do that kind of crap to the neighborhood deserves some kind of tolerances, and I don't want to hear it. A nice sounding truck that is remotely quite and not wakin up my kids, well more power to you, but disrespect will get your **** kicked.....just my 2 cents

 

i just took my cat off my 5.2 ram it sounds good at idel but loud as **** on the throttle. i dont see any problems running without it. Im running on the pipes that connect to manifolds for not until i get my new y pipe im still not going run cat.

 

sorry man, but these guys are right, no performance gain from taking off that Cat, and all you are succeeding in doing is to **** off your neighbors and chase away your friends, if you are seriously leaving it that way you are an ignorant jackass.(i understand if **** broke and you need to wait for parts, w/e but it should NOT be a permanent solution)


btw, im 20 and feel no need to be loud and noticed, maybe im just more secure in how i think about myself that i dont NEED the attention to feel good??? idk, but if you NEED the (negative) attention that a loud(catless) exhaust gives you have some self image issues that you should probably address before your neighbors decide to address the issue of your obnoxious truck

 

i understand what u mean by how its annoying and im 16 alot of my friends are tryin to be bad *** with no cats but i took mine off cus i sold it to the recycle guy and i wanted to run a y pipe. with my cherrybomb if its still annoying im going to get a new cat.

Not to mention how bad it is for the rest of us. I'm not a tree hugger and for the most part I could give a **** about global warming but that cat convertor is there to not release carbons into the atmosphere. It comes from the factory there for a reason and it's there to keep your vehicle running proper.

You wouldn't take off your hood because it makes the engine run cooler..?

 

Oh and just wait until there's nationwide emissions. I live in Tennessee and if you take your cat off you ain't renewing your registration.
