Agree with Indy, no valid reason to remove. Now if it was clogged i could understand, but pointless/annoying/shadetree/redneck not to run one. If your looking for tone, just get a new catback, no performance gain will be seen removing/replacing the cat. It may not run horrible but it will run worse...

indy and duranged are correct, the trucks will not run correctly, will throw codes, and will (best of all, at least for the cops) it is illegal. (where i am if your exhaust sound is too loud they are allowed to 'inspect' it on the side of the road, if your cat is missing you get a ticket)

ok. Well to the best of my knowledge with out inspecting my cat is clogged. I have little to no throttle response and if i put my ear by my cat it sounds like a leaky air compresses. But their is no leak in my exhaust. i would Probably be removing the cat and taking the **** out then re-installing it. And for the cops i already got a ticket for having it strait piped form the Cat back so i am not worried about paying tickets because in Michigan its just a Fix It Ticket.

+4 Leave the cat in place. If you really want to bypass it, there's a product out there that can do that. Google something like catalytic bypass valve or something like that. Otherwise, no gain for removing the cat and like shrps said, the extra loud exhaust gives cops the justification to pull you over and possibly give you a ticket, fine and or impound your D. Don't know how old you are but please heed our advice, we've all been through this. Louder=bad azz. No, louder= more scrutiny from Johhny Law. It's up to you to use the advise given.
