True, but this doesn't do much for flow. If I were designing the exhaust, I'd do about a foot of pipe from the exit of CAT and have the muffler and then about 2 feet of straight pipe after the muffler, then the Y. If you're wanting to do a Y pipe after the muffler, I'd do a very tight Y rather than a very open Y. This can cause back pressure problems and weaken the engine because the exhaust actually fight to get out of the exhaust due to the Y pipe restriction, so to speak.

Not really much gained by doing a Y pipe post muffler with a single out muffler except using more exhaust pipe.

Didn't say there would be gains other than looks.

Yeah true. Just goes to show that some people out there really do stuff to their vehicle while not thinking about what is better and what is worse for it.

You have no idea how many trucks in my area have a cat and nothing else but open pipe out to the back. Way annoying and does nothing good to the truck and makes it almost as annoying as a Harley with no mufflers.

No, the only thing that comes close to being as annoying as a Harley is the inconsiderate ********* that ride them.

They're beautiful machines. Unfortunately, they seem to all be driven by ****ing morons who think that being as loud as possible at 6:30 on a Saturday morning makes them "cool".

That is I would bet a flowmaster ripoff and judging by the case size very loud. If and when I change the exhaust on my D it will be a full three inch catback.

i know. ebay says its a "flowmaster equivalent". im just curious as to how equivalent they really are. im also curious if a muffler that small is actually legal to use
