I had a V-force a few years back and as far as I could tell it was exactly the same as a flowmaster. I would expect the same from the one you are looking at.

I would look more towards a two chamber like this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/21-2-...item2a0ab71a4c

It should give you a decent rumble and not be overly annoying on the highway. I might be a little concerned with longevity on the off brands but I would still expect at least a couple of years out of the cheap ones.

Also, it's made of Aluminized Steel rather than stainless so I'd recommend spraying it with a couple coats of HIGH HEAT Rustoleum. Keep it from rusting.

i heard one today. was talking to aa friend about it and happened to have one on his k5 blazer. listened to it and it was almost exactly the same as what i remember a real 40 sounding like. not too loud. nice throaty sound. i like it. ordered one myself. and ill definately be spraying it with something to protect it. thanks for that tip widow
