Default VIN decoder

I found this link on a caddy forum and it works perfectly for my caddy and I checked it against the build sheet I requested from chrysler for my former D and it is accurate for it as well.

I guess I should mention it give all the RPO's for the vehicle. You can basically get the build sheet in seconds this way.

It has some good information but there are a few discrepancies, like: I have an SLT decor and a Sport decor according to it?????

Anyway, that' s kinda cool!

Maybe you have a 5.2L........

On the under part if the hood theres a sticker that says what engine it has. It should also tell you on your insurance card, but not 100% sure on it.

Hydra, on our Ram's, all of them are base SLT decor then some have an extra package. Mine said SLT decor and Laramie decor. My badge on the back pillar behind the door says SLT Laramie. LOL

Yea, but the SLT decore was completely different from the Sport. The Sport shared nothing of the SLT, in fact the SLT was an upgrade. But in 1999 the V10 was givin more power that the SLT as a special.....Haven't found the true numbers tho?

The SLT has the chrome and mine has the black package, that was the main difference.

There is just a few things that don't make sense, but there was a lot of good straight information too?
