Loud Fuel Pump?
Funny this thread popped up again... My fuel pump has gotten slightly quieter as of late. I'm not sure whether to be worried or not.
Either it was loud because some grime got in there and it was working hard, and now it's clean, or... It was whining because it really is dying, and now it's quieter because it's aboue to give up all together.
I'll let you guys know.

My Mustang did the same thing. Pump was perfectly quiet, then god horribly loud. I changed it before it went Tango Uniform.
It's on it's way out, change it ASAP before it strands you somewhere.
ok as far as mine is it sounds the same as if it has when i got it yesterday i left it sit and run for half an hour at idle then took it for a hell ride ( running it hard ) and it performed just as it always did brought it home shut it off first bump of the key it started i can leave it sit for days and almost always 1st or 2nd bump of the key it starts
well i finally changed my fuel pump 239 freakin dollars it wasnt as bad as i expected then i come to find out my tank straps where bad after buyin the pump and busting a brake line i ended up gone and getting 2 1000lbs ratchet straps i know not oem but times are hard and i gotta spend money wisely and believe it or not my pump was still factory and it had 168k on!
