I don't know about your truck... But mine really doesn't like the ethanol-blend fuels. I try to ensure I'm filling up with non-ethanol gasoline.
We have 87, 89, 91, and 94 octane where I live... At most gas stations, The 87, 89, and 94 use 10% ethanol. The 91 octane does not.
SOME gas stations still sell 87 without ethanol, but they're few and far between, so I just make sure I read the pump before I fill up.

Thanks guys for all of the replies....I will for sure check out if where I have been getting gas has the ethanol blend going on....ran the 87 octane tune today and no pinging...am going to try the 91 performance tune again once I fill up again with 93...on a side note...it was really hot this afternoon..and man U could tell it...truck just loses all ***** and power when it's hot out!

NC doesn't require the label on the pumps and you have no idea what you're getting. It could be a 10% mix, a 15% mix or no ethanol at all. Go figure!
