Default new sensors...different problem

So I got both of my new speed sensors in today!
But now Ive got another problem.
Before I put the sensors in, my speedo was off 7ish mph no matter what speed I was going. So if it read 25 I was going 30something...presented the problem of speeding!
So I swaped the one on the back of the transmission, easy.
Did the one in the diff, took alittle longer but I dropped the spare so I had waaay more room. Its in, plugged in, and good to go...or so I thought.

Now I did reset the pcm, unplugged battery, held to on position for 30 sec.
Now when I take of the speedo dosn't work, but as soon as I hit 10mph or so it clicks up to 10mph and the abs and brake light come on...wtf?
So I went over to dodge and talked to someone, he was all confused cause apparnetly I had half a brain and knew what I was talking about.
He thinks its the tone ring? really...
But wanted me to bring it in to be scanned for a small fee of $40...I said thanks but Ill just check with my fourm first...
Anyone have anything?

If the speedo doesn't go from zero to 10 mph, You may have bad sensor. As far as adjusting the pinion factor. You wou need to reset that in the ABS module. May I ask why the speedo is off 7 mph?

It was before, now I dont know if it is off or not...haven't had a chance to check.
Both of the sensor's are brand new just put in today...can they really already be bad?
Also, how do you reset the abs module?

Either you have a bad output sensor on the transmission or you have wire at the connector that is not making contact on the output sensor pin.

Ok...I am now lost. I checked the abs module, all is connected. Pulled the fuse for the abs and it is good. Then crawled under and pulled each wire out and cleaned it and plugged them in again. Made sure they were pushed in all the way...
Drove around again and still....both lights click on after I hit 10mph. But the speedo doesn't work till I am going 10mph then it jumps up to 10mph and works normal. THen I drive around and it works all the way from 0 up. And seems to be pretty close to the right speed...
What should I do now? I really dont want to pay $40 for them to scan the D for 15 min and tell me something I could have done myself...

at least one of the sensors you put in is bad, the light clicking on after starting driving (1-2 shift is my experience) reminds me of when my output speed sensr on the tranny way bad.

Ok...so weird question here...
I noticed that the tranny sensor was magnitized...if i mabey...on accident...had it touch some metal and fly out of my hand and stick to said metal for 5 sec or so...would that have caused it to go bad...?

They are both magnets. I think your rear ABS sensor is bad on the differential. Swap it with a new one or at least check the harness for corrosion on both sides front and rear..

See, the one on the Diff gives 0-20 MPH to the PCM, but you also get some from the transmission output sensor, with that said replace it again or with the old one. Most likely you do not have the right size tires on and that is the reason that the speedo is off in the first place. The tone rings just don't go bad in the rear diff unless something has broken a tooth off it or something, but if that were the case the pump would be engaging off and on because it wouldn't match the trans.

I would swap it out first and see if that helps, and get a build sheet to see if you have the right size tires on it. If you like the tires you have then you can have the dealer flash in your new tires and gearing into the PCM to get your speedo on again, about $60 bucks, or you can get a tuner and do it yourself.
