It now has 225,000 and is running pretty well. I haven't had to spend anything on it except for routine oil changes, bj replacement and new tie rods, break pads, and water pump. I wonder how many more miles I can put on it given proper care and maintenance. So, who has the most miles on his/her Durango in this forum?
I also have a 99 with 5.2, second owner. I bought it at 48,000 miles and I hit 248,000 today. So far all I've done is a starter, battery, tires, brakes, fuel pump, air conditioning. The best vehicle I've ever owned! Sadly, it's time to upgrade and getsomething fuel efficient.

..I never understood this? “Upgrade to something fuel efficient”.

In most cases, it’s cheaper to pump fuel into the old vehicle vs a new vehicle.

Sure it may cost more in fuel, but no payment and cheaper insurance.

However it does work in select cases. For example I was looking to pay $400 a month for fuel to drive to/from work. I picked up my fusion for $16,100 and it costs me $260 a month + $150 in fuel.. So I still pay $400 a month but at least I get a car. It worked out with insurance because I pay the same for full coverage with a $50 on everything. Insurance was high where I lived because it was the mexico border, high theft rate.

Anywho, best of luck to you!

120,000 on my 98 and other than regular maintenance and recall stuff, the only thing I have had to do is the front calipers because of stripped out mounting bolts. Did the brake lines also while I was in there. The brake pads were still at about 50% with 110,000 on them.

I didn't really start paying too much attention to the car until 2008 when I got my license and starting driving it, but I am positive there were no major repairs from 2000-2008. It has been in two pretty costly accidents, one of which damaged the radiator which had to be replaced along with repairs to the front end. And the second one just a couple of months ago when a truck backed into it and the rear driver's side door and third row window had to be replaced. Other than that, its been bulletproof. The only thing that isn't great about it are the expensive tires and the gas mileage but we knew it would be expensive when we bought it.
I just noticed this post. You said expensive tires? Maybe compared to a car, but 15in rim truck tires are the cheapest on the market! You get brand new mud tires from walmart for $135 a tire for wranglers, and $88 a tire for regular cheap-o 15's. Try that on any other truck or SUV. My 04 Yukon takes 180 a tire.

Pic of the odometer? You 're definitely in the top 5 or so with that mileage. I'm not positive, but I think I heard that someone has over 600,000miles somewhere.

2003 SLT 4.7L with 179k here, just rebuilt the engine after it lost a rod bearing. Posting a thread about it shortly.

Kids won't let me get rid of it because they love "Dad's old truck". I'll keep it till it dies. Gotta do some minor rust work on it soon (a bubble on the roof by the window frame and one on the pass rear door as well) but other than that no rust.
