98 Durango won't start... please help...
So I'm trying to help my friend he just got from being deployed and doesn't have a lot of money so we are trying to fix this ourselves. He has a 98 durango and the rear wiper stayed on and drained the battery. I recharged the battery and now the truck just cranks over. I tried to connect a scanner to the ODB port and it can't connect to the truck. I don't hear the fuel pump kicking in either. I'm not sure where I should start to trouble shoot. From what I've read it can be the crank sensor, cam sensor, ECM or fuel pump. I also read that these can get messed up when you charge the battery from to much amperage. Any help would be appreciated.

Installed a new battery and it still just cranks over and doesn't start. I checked all the fuses and relays and they are fine. I'm still not able to read the cars computer with my scan tool. I have a feeling that the ECM is dead. When I go to start the vehicle none of the gauges move, like they are not getting any power. This is puzzling as the fuse for the dash is good. Should I look at getting a new ECM?
