headlights are STILL flashing
Ive replaced the headlight switch twice,a new pigtail that connects to the headlight switch,a new TCM, a new relay on the drivers side fuse box. Only the headlights flash, everything else is fine. My truck is a 1998 5.2. Please help! Its both headlights that flash, they start doing it after they been on for 15-20mins, and it doesn't do it all the time.
dude you expect an answer in a day or two? most of us arent on all the time since we do this in our free time, just be patient and you will get answers.
so NO i wouldnt leave the relay out, i would replace it with a NEW one (it is possible that you got a bad relay the first time around)

honestly, if the lights work w/o the realy instlaled there is either a short somewhere providing power to the lights (which needs to be fixed before it burns the truck down) or you pulled the wrong relay. . .
also yes the CTM has to be flashed with your trucks options in order to function correctly, is that whats going on here? idk, if you dont care about everything working then i guess its not an issue. . .

I'd have to agree with shrp on the relay part.
Not sure if you know this, but just in case I'll say it, our stock headlights are a 9007 switched ground system. This means when the headlights are on the common (I think it's the center one but don't hold me to that) has 12v+ when the headlights are on, then the high beam or low beam pins get grounded to turn them on. What I'd do if I were you is get out a multimeter and see which pin's power is flickering.

everything works as far as the options go..i do not have key fobs so no big deal there. So without the relay in my lights shouldnt work at all? There are only two relays, one for the multiswitch i believe, it clicks when the turn signal is on(its green) and the headlights.
