Gotta agree with that sentiment...... Someone must have beat the snot out of that motor, and changed the oil once every five years or so.

thats a generous assumption (that they ever changed the oil . . . . )

Agreed. The sad thing about this Durango is that it is in PHENOMENAL shape besides the obvious abuse of the engine. It even had the skid plates, rubber "wind gasket" (not sure what its called but its located between the radiator and skid plate under the vehicle) and it even has the bump stops on the control arms...Even the interior is clean and doesn't show much wear at all....

Then it is most certainly worth putting a good motor into it.

Lost over a week working on this beast due to parental medical issues..nothing too serious but had to be away from the project for a week...

Engine is in...starting to finish hanging the accessories on it today (hopefully) ... will post updates when (if) I get her running...not going to tempt Mr. Murphy on this one by being too cocky
