That seems reasonable.

If the engine doesn't warm up at all though, may wanna replace the thermostat as well. (stant thermostat only please, none of this 'safety stat' nonsense, they fail far to quickly.)

OK, so, the engine warms up properly, just the heater doesn't. Is the blend door on your cable controlled? Or some other method??

Nice build thread and story. Just bought my 2000 and I am doing my 3" lift in a couple weeks. I only went with 31" tall tires on 15" wheels after reading about possible differential problems when going 33 or higher. Since this is my winter DD I need to keep it moving...don't want to pull my Challenger out in the snow and salt. But I think other than that I plan on going down a similar path.

Well I replaced my heater core and it now get nice and toasty in my Durango. Very happy about this. it was a HUGE pain in the butt but I did get it taken out and replaced. I am glad I did. It was filled with Pine Needles and leaves and the heater core did look pretty bad. Oh well it is replaced and running great now.

So went up on a trail with another Durango and a couple Explorers and a Jeep. I was the one that did not make it on the trail. I broke Passenger side CV. A new one is on its way to replace the old one. Was able to get it replaced thru the warranty with Rock Auto. Here are a couple pics I took.

drive and steering components seem to be one area where no aftermarket company can seem to make something that lasts. they must all get one hell of a deal on chinesium to make them from.

Snow winds and Icy roads made me decide that I am not gonna attempt to get her home. This coming Saturday 01/04 Should how ever be a different Story as of now the weather looks to be decent to get her home. I will have to get her on the trailer and get her home. I already have an axle lined up to replace old axle. It is from a 2000 Durango.
