stupid crank pulley
alright, i rented a Harmonic Pulley puller from autozone and it worked good until the bolt wouldn't go anymore cause it was too small. the pulley is halfway off. how in the world do u get it off the rest? or did Autozone give me the wrong one?
there should be 2 or 3 push rods that go along with the pulley....you need the longest one
if they only gave you one, then sumone probally kept the ones that you need when they rented it previously....
you could try to get 2 prybars behind the pulley...1 on each side...and just work the pulley the rest of the way of

i heated up the pulley real good the first time i ever took it off...ended up melting the timing cover a bit[&:]
if you got it half way off with the longer rod, then you might be able to work it off with your hands....
the logest rod i have for my puller lets me take the pulley completely off with some room to spare

Mine was the same way, luckely I had a pushrod sitting around from a 350, it was the same diameter but longer, just head over to the hardware store and get like a 3/16 rod (I think that is the right size), and cut it to lenth. Will work like a charm

You've hopefully gotten this off already, but if not or someone else needing the info, try this.
Three jawing using the crank bolt will get you almost 3/4 of the way off, after that, remove the bolt and slide a 1/4 socket extension (like a six inch one) into the crank bolt hole. The end of the extentsion sets nicely in the bottom of the crack hole and is too small to damage your threads. Your three jaw center bolt will also seat nicely into the receiving female end of the extension. A few turns on on the puller and she'll slide off easily.
hope this helps someone!
