you have a short shifter, but its still not a short throw shifter
a real short throw shifter like the hurst has the bottom part of the hadle bent a bit and lengthened....not just the top cut off.....

yea i kno its not a true short throw shifter but your arm does move less so it does help, although it is harder to move cuz theres less leverage. so what is the difference between a real one. i dont get it. how does it work.

on a real short throw shifter, the bottom of the handle is bent just a bit and is a little longer....the closer the bottom of the handle is to the cables, the less length that it has to move

the top is just a little shorter but not much....i think the top of the hurst is only about 1/2 inch to an inch shorter then the stock shifter but the most noticable difference is in the bottom

oh ok now i get it. i kinda basically did the same though. all that matters is how much your arm moves right? although i agree that a real short shifter is better cuz u have more leverage and still have a short throw. because mine is kinda hard to move in and out of gear. am i right?

the whole principle of a short throw shifter is to have less movement for your arm...but in less arm movement you also have less shifter movement
