you will wanna run a 215/40-17 if you want a larger tire that wont rub
a 165 series tire would be like running a donut spare on the car...and then try to find a 17" rim that narrow enough to saftely run a 165[&:]
besides, a 165/35 would be pretty much like having a rubber band around your rim.....has anyone ever tried to find a 165/35-17???? ive never even heard of that size....
save yourself any trouble and get the 215/40....

i felt the same way u do right now about 2 months ago. i just bought some srt4 rims and im runnin 205/40/17 i loved to get rid of my steeleys with hub caps. but now when i wanna do a nasty burn out ill just throw my steeleys on. but good luck tryin to find a place that will mount the tires on the rim w/o messin them up at all. i had to go to tire kingdom because for one i was told i needa go somewhere where they had a "robo arm" to mount low pro tires. i ges the sidewall was to stiff to move. everywhere i went said they could do it but they couldnt do it safely w/o scratchin, chippin etc. good luck have fun wit em
