Default 2.4 turbo vs srt4?

ok so tomorow i have to go to pittsburg from philly to get this 2 dr blk r/t with a 2.4 in it
i want to know

which would win
a 2.4l turbo strat engine in a neon?
or an srt4 motor in a neon?

im thinking about trying to find a turbo for the strat engine, they made one for the mexican version

how would that compare to an srt4 swap?

for it to compare you might want to get the srt4 internals so you can run as many psi as the srt4 can run but i really dont know much about it but im pretty sure the srt4 would win.. cuz with the stock block i wouldnt think you would want to run more then 5-8 psi and ive heard the srt can run like 20 or so
but like i said i really dont know

just my opinion [8D]

i should add
the turbo would be off an mexican r/t stratus
bolted on an neon r/t tranny
the internals in the strat engine are upgraded, but not upgraded with turbo inmind
so

just wanna know if its worth turboing?

ok heres the deal... wooo whoo im here...

So...

since the 2.4 stratus head is the same as the 2.0 block guess what that means...

yes for the million dollar prize...

a SRT Turbo fold WILL bolt straight to it, as of today you can tear down your stratus block take it to a machine shop, pray that the clyinder walls are ok, get it re-honed, and it would only cost you 267.76 to get it srt internalled... pistons rings bearings rods rod bearings everything... and you have yourself a fully built bottom end...

Slap the srt turbofold on there and off you go... and fast..
the stratus block and head weighs about 50 less then the srt motor as long as you take the balance shafts out of the stratus block...

hp for hp you will do a bit better with the stratus motor...

lol shipping would absoulutly kill you... and cost more then you just getting it done there...

and the pistons are good up to 500+hp mark... they do come out of the srt-4... and they give I belive a 8.8:1 compression ratio... so its not pretty un-boosted... think i remember a guy that srt'ed his 2.4 and for the hell of it put it on the dyno unboosted and he hit a whopping 105 hp... so they are low compression pistons and if you want any type of power you will need to boost the **** out of it... the pistons can hold like 20psi all day long as long as you have a good tune...
