it could be the filter not allowing the fuel to pass at 49... it could be the pump not pumping to allow the regulator to pass at 49 or it could be the regulator not flowing at 49... sorry...

May need to replace the fuel sock. Wait until the tank runs low, and have a look.

i juss replaced the fuel filter like 1200 miles ago and no probs with pressure after that, but. what if i tookthe pumpouta the tank and took the regulator off and tried running it without the regulator.. what would happend? that would juss be to see if it would run better so i know weather to get a new one or sumtin.

If you have a metal tank the regualtor is outside the tank. I thought the out of tank regulator was also used as a filter. I would pull the fuel pump and check the O rings.

noo my fuel pressure regulator is inside on the fuel pump itself.. and yes its a metal tank, my filter is on the side and theres no regulator on the filter itself or inside it.. i just want to know if i take the regulator off if it would mess anything up at all..

yes you will mess things up you would get as much fuel as the fuel pump would send and compleatly flood your motor...

You could to it and check your fuel pressure to see if the regulator is faulty. Plasitc tanks have them on the pump, netal tanks there outside the pump and have a return line. Enless there is another way they made them?

yes it could potentially hurt not only your injectors but could flood your whole motor with so much gas it couldent start without pumping the fuel out by hand...

what you would be doing is esetially letting the pump, pump gas as hard as it can... inturn the injectors will open spraying way more fuel then needed...
