yes, you have to use the first generation mounts and sensors.

and 2nd gen doesnt use egr. So you would use your 1st gen manifolds, and block off ur egr on the manifold. AN nd plug off the vaccum for it that comes off the brake booster.

Why would he need to use first gen manifold? Run the motor how it comes. He would have to put a EGR on his car for the first gen manifold to make sense.

The second Gen intake manifold is MUCH better than first gen and is considered a good upgrade.

I thought the 2st gen manifold and clearance issues? My 2nd gen indy took 2 hours of kicking to fit. I thought the magnum manifold was considered a good upgrade? If you plan to use the 2nd gen manifold you will also need a 2nd gen tb setup, relocate battery for the tb clearance. Just use ur first gen manifold for ease.

Yea. AS long as you can use ur sensors motor mounts and manifold, and harness ur good to go. It will throw a check engine code for no egr. You can use a resistor that will shut it off. And block of the egr on ur 1st gen manifold.
