oil light
my oil light is on but i am not low on oil?
what could be causing this?

its only like a $12 part and then a $6 socket. the socket is worth it.

hell you dont even need a socket for it....just use a big pair of channel locks

Oil light could also be on from low oil pressure in your system. But like they said. most the time its a faulty sending unit AKA idiot light.

the sending unit is on the back of the block on the tranny side...opposite corner basically from the crank sensor..
i need to replace my oil sending unit in the next day or 2 because its leaking oil....im loosing about 1 qt a week out of it
