Default alternator woes

on the alternator there is a single wire that connects from the alt to the wiring harness
its not a connector or a plug just like and I.
my problem is that i keep frying that wire when the music is up really loud for a while, any sugestions on how to fix this

that wire is your charging cable...you either have insanely too much bass/music equipment(doubt it) or you have a bad short somewhere
