Default help!! Quick!!

i need help, i waqs driving home when i came upon a huge puddle went through it and my air intake sucked up a bunch of water, now its making a loud knocking noise

take your air box out and dry everything out and put it back in see if it stopped after that including drying the filter

i have an afermarket air intake on it and it makes the noise even with anything hooked up 2 the throttle body

try to dry out your throttle body see if that helps you any you prolly have water sitting in your throttle body

well my friend said to take out my spark plugs and crank it and see if water comesw out the spark plug holes, but do u think the water is whats making the knocking noise?

yes because its mixing with your oil and oil and water dont mix if i was you i would drain all the oil and put fresh in because most of the water you sucked up through your intake will come out in your oil

alright well im gonna go get some oil in a couple mins, so how does oil in the water make the noise?

i think its because the oil is suppose to be a lubricant and when you sucked up the water and it mixed with the oil it breaks the lubricant up making it real thin there for you will hear a noise until you fix the problem

alright well i drained the oil and it only looks a lil milky

If you let water sit inside the motor, it will rust up your internals.
