will a mitsubishi eclipse engine fit in a neon?without modifications?

theres good info in all of those posts, anything (almost) can fit, just depends on how much fab work you are comfortable/able to do.

The 420a engine is the same block, pistons, crank, oil pump, water pump, bed plate... Thats it. Heads are different. I used a 98 dohc dodge neon lower end in a 95 eclipse.

 

the only engine that will fit without much modding are the sohc and dohc neon engine

 

The 4G63 is all mitsu while the 420a is all dodge. 420a's come in the NA ecclipses while the boosted motors get the 4G63. The 420a variant has never been factory turbocharged. If you want the mitsu motor, better buy an eagle talon TSI or turbo ecclipse

 

my friend told me it would be a sick sleeper if i put a gsx engine and tranny in it so thats why i was wondering thanks for everyones help
