My friend got a new car today...the one in the title. He has the engine light on with a p0302 and a p0420. Is there any common fixes for either of these codes? We will be changing plugs, wires and valve cover gasket in a few days. As for the oil leaks...ones coming from the valve cover for sure the other seems like its coming from the oil pan or somewhere a little above that. Is there anything i should check for that? Planing on putting some of that fluorecent dye in and checking it to see where its coming from exactly...it leaks a nice sized puddle everytime its sitting in the street or in a parking spot. Any help is appreciated.

Found out that the trans was leaking not the oil. Changed the trans filter, pan gasket, and fluid. It still leaks from what seems to be the cooling line. Changed valve cover gasket, plugs, wires, and oil. Cleared check engine light well see if it comes back. One more question....the gas pedal gets stuck!!!! What should i mainly look for?

0134 means you o2 isn't hooked up or completely junk. other code is cylinder 1 misfire. So a tune up, if still throws code then check injector, then check coil. o2 sensor may be related to this code if its not hooked up. If the car runs rough check compression. Be sure to change the cooler lines with actual transmission line. Yes those battery trays have been known to cause WOT stuck issues when they crack and rest on the throttle body components. As for the oil leak if its coming from the back passenger corner it could be oil pump seal or cam seal.
