Ok, quick question, which is the inlet and outlet...

check for engraving on the piece, kinda like the egr systems labeling off the vack line with the arrow and the other line, or just an idea but, try to do a web search on that product or a similar FPR check out summit or some places like that, others should show you which way what goes good luck !!

Can you take some pics of the actual regulator abd post them?

The inlet should be on the side, and you have to get the fitting. The bottom would be for your return line and the top port is for your vacuum line.

I don't know if it will even work properly........how is it goin to control the pressure if it has no control over the pump/regulator in the tank?

in order for it to work like you would need it to you will have to get an external fuel pump.....otherwise the regulator isnt gonna serve any purpose because of the stock regulator on the stock pump
