my power steering went out today,can anybody give me any advice?

On what? What went out, pump/belt?

i dont know, when im moving slow is when it gives me the problem

belt is still in place, is there a way to trouble shoot the pump? and would i still be able to steer at high speeds?

yeah power steering is really "power assist" after you get up to a certain speed the power steering is basically bypassed anyways. High speed driving would be fine

could be the pump, or steering rack, or just might need new belts

Check your fluid levels for sure, maybe a gasket has gone out.

Do you hear any whining?

i had a problem a while back with my pump.....the retainer clip that holds the pulley and inner shaft broke, so you could slide the whole shaft and pulley out of the pump...even with the belt on, but i highly doubt thats your problem
