Alright, i have a question / worth the time and money it would take to take a 3.0L v6 and put it into the 1st gen neons. I know there would be a lot of fab. for it to fit, but would it be worth it? stock mitsu 3.0L has 144 hp @ the wheels and 170 ft. Lbs. of torque. Any ideas? I know this has been done at least 2 different times but i cant seem to track down how they did it, i just have 4 or 5 pictures of the final product. ( one has a blower bolted right on the plentum >.< ) Any ideas would be great.
lots and lots of work...be easier and probably better to just swap in the 2.4L which makes 150HP and 160lbs. torque at the crank. and then u can go the SRT route which would be awesome
Unless you just want to be different, it ISN'T worth the time or money. A 2.4 engine swap is much easier and more practical and you build it cheaper than the V6 swap.
ok, i guess i wasnt paying alot of attention.....
but for the price of the 2.4 swap, i would rather have a complete bolt-on 2.0 dohc.......much less of a hastle and can still get you plenty of power
