RE: SRT-4 Swap Progress- Update
So, if you guys are following... I am ending up having to rewire the entire R/T from front to back due to the ECU and the fact that the car wont run without the gauge cluster and ECU combo. So, I am going to put in the SRT-4 dash (If anyone knows someone who will fiberglass the door panels to custom fit, let me know!) with the gauge cluster. Everything else is going to be the same R/T stock. So thus far I have the car completely stripped- wiring panels carpet *everything*. I want this swap to be as clean as possible, obviously! I have kept all connectors off the old wiring harness from the R/T and put them in a bin. I do beleive I am now ready to start actually building my frankenstien . I am currently just waiting on the interior wiring harness I ordered off Ebay for the car, the stock SRT-4 fuel tank insert w/ the gauge sensor and fuel pump and a few other things I have ordered. The garage is a complete disaster right now, straighted it up last night though :-D I have parts *EVERYWHERE*. But I feel the swap is progressing nicely. I expect to have the wiring harness by next week and since next week is my spring break I am planning on having the entire car rewired and the interior atleast mostly put back together. Not sure how many care about it, but if you made it to the end of this discabobulated message, you must be interested in the least bit :-D Pics will be up as soon as I get the camera!!
EDIT: If anyone needs parts off a 98 Neon, let me know! The ECU, Tranny, Clutch & TOB, long halfshaft and alternator are all gone. Other than that, let me know! Thanks!! Oh, and if anyone has a Hurst or B&M Short Throw, I would be interested!
