Default Performance computer question.

Hey all...I got a question about the performance computers. They say for manual trans only. Ok.here's my question...If the automatic transmission is not computer controled then why wouldn't it work?

It will work on the car will run fine, but the manual PCM's won't activate your lockup torque converter on your auto tranny. This will create heat and burn up your tranny. Heat is a big no-no for the tranny.

You can still use one, but you will either have to hook up a switch to activate the torque converter or just run a tranny cooler (good idea anyway, for an auto).

30-40 HP from bone stock with a bunch of modifications, the computer only with no other mods you might gain 3-4

AF/x street/strip is comparable with the Mopar Performance PCM, but the AF/x is better than the Mopar and can add up to 7-10 HP on a stock engine and even more with a header added.

There is no computer chip for the neon. The neon's PCM is NOT reprogrammable with chips. You have 3 choices, Mopar PCM, AF/x Street.Strip PCM or AF/x Race PCM.

Stay awy from Jet and ebay resistors.
