I went to www.spinnercenter.com and got a bolt on spinner set that just looks great and put the mirrors on I found a sliding rear window for $99 on ebay that will be my next adventure. Teh paint job might be a headache and some time coming because of teh cost unless somebody is near four oaks, NC and does a good job.

IF you can and want to how much would you sell them for and how much is shipping to 1300 N. Mckay Ave. Dunn,NC. any and all info that you can get me is appreciated.

no problem I appreciate it anyway besides I think I figured out the problem and I have ordered the sliding rear window and am hoping to have it installed in a little while I have also installed the cd player and speakers.

It still needs:
1. another trans. fluid change ( to get out some more of that darn dex-merc)
2. fan belts
3. oil change
4. carb (2-bbl) needs to be checked and maybe rebuilt
5. valve cover gaskets (were installed too tight
6. rear end work or universal joints i don't know which
any advice would be helpful

It helps to have another person to hold the window in position. Install the gasket on the window. Take some stout cord and put it in the gasket groove that the trucks window lip goes in so that both ends meet at the top of the gasket. Hold the window against the opening and insert the top truck lip into the groove of the gasket. Hold the window up as tight as you can and start to slowly pull on the cord. As the cord is pulled this will pull the lip of the gasket into the inside of the truck opening as it runs around the gasket. I like to do one side until I get around the first upper corner and started down its side of the window and then do the other side until I get around both corners and start across the bottom then go back and finish the first side.A little rubber lubricant on the inside lip of the gasket is very helpful.

alright I have my sliding glass window and discovered that I need a new wide channel gasket to go with it. then I must summon my unearthly and uncommon skill to put the thing in or pay someone to do it. also before I can drive it on reg. basis i must go and hav an alignment. otherwise I will be eating the tires. I just hope there isn't anything else wrong with the front end from hitting the fire hydrant he hit. in all Buying, rims and tires, all repairs and sliding rear window excluding reg. maint. I have about $930 in the truck and it is comming along nicely. Oh! if you are local to four oaks,nc 27524 or dunn,nc 28334 I still have the bullet hole rims for sale. price neg. also have full set of stock dodge rims CHEAP!!!!!!!!!

So you can install the back window yourself? Is there anyway you could make a tutorial for me? I have a cab from a 82ram that has a slider sitting in at my sisters house, and I would love to put it in my 81 d150. I thought that I needed to get it done professionally and I really didnt want to pay for it, but if i can do it for parts, then that would make me very happy. Thanks
