I was thinking if I get headers Ill wrap them or get ceramics.

wombat, what were some issues you had on your swap? Im sure they will be some and I would like to get extra parts or whatever I may need before that way we dont tear it aprt and break soemthing then both my trucks are undrivable until we get the part. Mainly I thinking hardware wise.

I replaced the nv4500 that was in my '95, I didn't do an auto to manual swap. So I know how the install goes. I haven't done a swap before but I can't see it being that big of a deal.

If you have a mpi motor don't swap to a carb. Mpi is a much better system. If you have tbi then swap away.

Manual to auto is easy compared to the other way round. You can use the same pedal pack just the clutch doesn't work, and install a cool floor shifter in the hole the 4sp rod came thru.

Anybody know anything about that? ^^

I think there might be something wrong with the transmission. Was driving the donor today and noticed a grinding/rattling sound coming from the tranny. Didnt start til after I shifted into 5th

That fill plug was on there tight. I couldnt feel any oil in the tranny. I plan on opening the drain valve when I get the time to see if any drains out. To know if there was at least some in there.
