Wow, starts right up, and runs pretty good. Love the roads around there. FAR better shape than around here. Of course, I would always be getting into trouble on those, the curves look like just too much fun.

I love how quickly you put that truck together .... you forgot to mention several things like tires and finding hub caps for the wheels ....
There are so many little things that just eat up time and energy ..... you did a great job.
That truck will be a go to every time you just need a vehicle to start and run and get you where you are going.

Thanks for the kind words. Still a lot to do. Muffler is full of rust, fuel gauge inop, ammeter is flaky, tie rods have rotten rubber grease seals, etc.

But the major parts are coming together. It's been a lot of fun and very satisfying.

Where are all the other cars at? One minuet out of my driveway you will see quadruple the amount of vehicles than the whole video. Get stuck behind a trash truck, School bus etc going to work. And for the streets it looks like they take care of them(tar on the cracks). Here they don't do that here! It's patch central! They wait till there no more of the original road left before replacing it. Then after they do they have to cut into because they didn't do something before hand. They sure know how to waste the tax payers money here. Getting off course, Great to see an old Dodge back on the road!

They repaved a road about 4 years ago, It was nice compared to what was there. Then for some reason they cut sections of it out to get to something under it. They where spaced about every 100 feet or so. Of course the patches they put on them were not level with repaved road so it wasn't any better than the road they replaced. About 9 months ago they repaved the whole road again! There is another section of a road that needs to be repaved. They have signs up "road work ahead", They have a bunch of guys fixing the curb, Not touching the road! Some roads are so bad you have to drive on a section of the shoulder(past the line) so you don't get bombarded with potholes. Some of the not so bad roads they repaved but still cut them up and repaved sections of it. I really would to know who takes responsibility for this incompetence! The Governor is just as bad so it's not surprising.

Sounds like lenawee county..... They paved a dirt road here, no idea why, there aren't ANY houses on that stretch of road..... it runs between two cornfields.... less than a week after completion, they were carving holes in it, and patching it. There is NO infrastructure under that road. None. Zero. It's a mystery why they were digging it up again....

I suppose most towns have the same issue .... not enough $$ in the budget and the wrong people in charge of the budget.
They have been tearing up our roads in town for the past year and working on the water lines. They have been installing fire hydrants and valves so they can control water flow and this is a good thing.
The old water lines break and they need to drain the entire system so they can repair it .... Now they can use valves and isolate the break and just drain it ... when finished installing them.

We lost water yesterday afternoon ... Super bowl Sunday ... seems they could not find anybody sober to repair the lines, their working on it now Monday morning.

The worse patch of road in town is right in front of the court house. Beautiful 120 year old building and the road is a total disaster in front of it.
Also no drainage system in town, we get rain and the roads are the gutter system and intersections have standing water for days ..... joys of small town living

I'm more or less fortunate that the road by my house is a popular short cut and several county officials are long time residents. It's paved every 4-5 years and is plowed early and kept open.

I say more or less because when my house was built in 1949, it was raised above the road. It comes up each time so now I'm below the road and heavy rains causes my yard to flood. When I built a new garage, my old sewer line imploded. I had to find my access. The sewer department said there was a man hole cover in my drive but I had never seen one. They came out with a focused metal detector and showed me where to dig. The sewers had been installed in 1967. I dug down 4 feet before I hit the cover. They came out, dug a big hole and put an extension on it. So the road has raised by 4-6 feet since my house was built.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I uploaded another video - this time in 4K resolution.

Truck is running great. My next todo item is to replace the exhaust and run the tailpipe out the back to eliminate the interior resonance.
