Default RE: Exhaust

From saturday until yesturday, I was driving my truck around with the CAT seperated from the muffler because my muffler would shift back and come off of the CAT. So, yesurday i got it tap welded together. But when it was seperated, it was pretty loud. Sounded like an old muscle car. Haha.

a dump is a exhaust that blocks off the normal flow and reverts it iut like open headers
its normally usedin dragracing applications where you run both street and strip

they make electric cutouts, that dump your exhuast when you want it to, useally when racing or making a sleeper. My next exhuast system is going to be 2.5in from the headers back with a custom x pipe with 2 electic dumps, along with side exit exhuast.. so when i want it quit driving around at night and local housing areas.. ill keep them, shut, on the highway and racing ill open the dumps and sound like a damn open header outlaw..

i have a link of my dump.. ill post it up.. when i redline you can see the exhuast shoot out the cutout/dump.. this was before my intake running a bit rich, i have a less restrctive intake now... so its sounds a little deaper now instead of the crackle snapple pop crap.

First rev is redline, 2nd rev is tapping the gas, 3rd rev is slow rpm range, 4th is idling..

I figured someone had to laugh at some point. I was just hoping it wasn't going to be me the whole time.
