Default Experts PLease Help me!

Hey guys an gals. my2000 3.9L is having some problems. I recently switched out my tb with one off of a 5.9 from a98 ram. It idles at 1100 after start upand after driving it a couple miles the idle will sit at 1500! its killin my gas mileage! ive read how i might need to switch tb cables too but i didnt do it. instead i sawed of the metal pin it would go under and it opens it just fine with a littleslack left over. O AND the pedal is really tight on start up. idk whats going on but i dont want to take my baby to the shop. please help fellow owners.

does it sound like it's sucking air? if it is, change the TB gasket and make sure you tighten down the TB far enough. if you cant tell if its sucking air or not, go ahead and change the gasket anyway.
