years ago mopars had a voltage reg that pluged into the dash panel, it made 5 vlots to run the gauges. it was cheeply made and would stick close which would run the gauges to full scale or it would stay open causing the gauges to show nothing. they are easy to replace, it just plugs into the circuit board. i dont know when they stoped using them, if they did.

RE: PLEASE HELP , Im stumped
Afraid I can't help, but we have what sounds like the same problem with a '99 V6 Dakota Sport.About a week ago, when my husband started the truck all of the idiot lights came on and nothing on the instrument panel worked.Sounds exactly as you described it. He took it to a dodge dealer and they wanted $1000 to fix it - they said the instrument panel would have to be replaced. That's just too much, so he took the panel out and took it to a shop that said they might be able to repair it. But they said they couldn't get it to "fail"... whatever that means. So then he went to a junkyard that had a used instrument panel and tried that. No joy. So he's driving it as is for now... with all the idiot lights on and no speedometer or gas gauge or anything else working.
If youfind a solution, I'd love to hear it!
Thanks.
