I just bought an 04 Dodge dakota cc v8 5 speed 3.55 rear gear. It has a CAI on it and i have high flow cats and dynomax race bullets ready to go for an install. My question is what other mods like throtttle body spacers and TB's them selves are the best and what kind of power gains am i lookin at. Programmers and everything i'm lookin to spend about $1000. I will go as far as cams but i would like to know what is recommended and about what king of performance are we talkin.. Thanks for the newbie.
if it's an 04 he's got a 4.7. For starters, replace the stock y-pipe with a custom made one from an exhaust shop and you've already got your muffler setup so you're ok there. The y-pipe is very restrictive on the 4.7 and either gut or cut off the 3rd cat. After that I would probably make your own CAI with a k&n type filter. You would probably have about 700$ left to play with after this. I would then get a superchips tuner and 212 cams from KRC.
it does have a 4.7.. i already have the CAI yeah when i ran the exhaust it was going to be true duals no y'd off crap.. 212 cams from KRC tell me more about them what kind of power numbers and do i need other mods to compliment the cams
just stating the obvious, dont rip me to shreds not being a racial dirtbag, but look at your keyboards and notice where the "B" is.. right next to the "N"... most likely a typo on a moderators end
