Want to gain 3mpg or more?

If it makes you feel better to think I'm just trying to have the last word go ahead, no skin off my back. If you don't feel like typing the numbers then don't act annoyed when people don't believe you. It's not possible to explain anything to someone who won't listen. I'm obviously wasting my time with this thread so if you have anything else you want me to see send me a PM.

thats cause you dont have those number, knock off the arrogant act. all a cold air intake does is relieve the "negative" vacuum, giving the engine a better advantage which will translate to a few horses, but they will be lost within the drivetrain which that will translate into maybe .1 mpg, possibly .2. a high flow exhaust eases up the "positive" vacuum, easing the flow of exhaust to maybe add some horses but will kill off torque. dude i spent 5 years of diesel engine hands on repair and class room theory, which i can easily apply to gasoline engines. All these simple modifications just cause the engine to work less, using a fraction of less fuel. however it will nowhere be near the significant number of 2.5, 3, or whatever mpg he claims. that will only happen in a perfect world. fuel trim and timing adjustments will be a crucial factor to get these kind of numbers. so until we see some real world numbers, keep your comments and the arrogance to yourself.

Well, i guess we had our fun and its time to close the tread. As much as i love watching this guy make a fool of himself, i have to do it.
If he thinks those 3 mods will give you +3mpg then so be it, but everyone that knows anything about this knows no way in hell you get 3+mpg from those mods.
