2nd gen 2wd lift
im currently looking to put a lift on my 02 dakota ext cab 4.7L
i do a little offroad, just to see how long i can go till i get stuck
my friends joke with me all the time cause ive got the 2wd, but im still havin fun
i dont want anything expensive (college student)
i know i can't get a body lift, since i hav a grille guard on the front of the truck and it would look retarded
ive been looking at the doetsch 3/2" lift
anyone hav this kit? how hard was it to put on? is it a good quality? any other suggestions on lifts? i saw that i would need to get ball joints, r they hard to replace and r they expensive?

where the hell is all the O.R freaks around here... i only know how to drop trucks and cars.
As for replacing ball joints... on mine they are riveted in and have to be cut off and replaced with bolts/nuts, i also think the lower ones or the upper ones cant remember have to be pressed in.
but i also have a 00' 5.9 might be different.

On my 99 they were pressed. It didn't matter though, as JMNeel stated, because the Fabtech lift kit has holes in the a-arms that come with the kit for new upper ball joints. IIRC the kit uses upper ball joints from a Chevy Silverado.
