Here is a quick copy and paste of 2wd lift Ideas from the 1st Gen Dakota FAQ2. Most will work for yours. But 5in suspension lift is alot to ask for. The most you can get is 2-3in suspension lift and 2-3 body.

For the front you can get coil spacers. Use one on top and one on the bottom for 2in lift. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

http://store.fatbobsgarage.com/share...t=products.asp

If you got a V6 you can get V8 coils to give you an inch or so or custom coil springs. Ebay.com may have some.

For the rear, you can use shorter spring shackles.

Or flip your shackle hangers. Check out https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen-...ut-blocks.html https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen-...le-hanger.html

Add a leaf too.

You can also do a spring over axle swap. But this will add around 5 inches of lift just for the back. After a SOA swap, you can use lift blocks. Sizes are available from 1 inch - 6 inches.

You can get air shocks too. These are not air bags. So you don't need an on-board compressor. http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...50&PTSet=A

Or
Universal air bags. https://airbagit.com/index.php?osCsid=949e8293e36ab275b7beeed6ca3c2580

2wd don't have torsion bars, only 4wd does. You can't match the rear with a spring over axle. That will put 5in or more in there rear and like I said the most you can get in front is 2-3in. You will look like a dork if you have your back end up 3or 4 in higher then the front.

I never really understood why people lifted 2wd trucks like this. I've always been under the influence that 2wds go down and 4wd goes up for good reason. 2wd belongs on the road or strip and 4wd belongs on the road or off of it in trails or whatever. Maybe its just me.

Like what are you going to do with a 6in lifted 2wd truck??

yeah i got a race car and i use it to tow to the track but yeah i rather lift it alittle rather then drop it cause to get to the track is alittle rough so droping it would be hard for me so alittle lift would help

ok so if i go coil spacers up front how can i get the back to match without going over longer shackles will do?
