Default bored of exhaust, how should i change it.

well i want to change the style of my exhaust. just move the pipes. i would keep the existing resonator. but i was thinking to take both tips and have them right in front of the tire (passenger side.) off at an angle. i think it would look sweet to have the two tips side by side. my tips are like 12inches long so i'm not sure how well it would work.

some thing like this

idk how the club cabs are different from the quad cabs...and if 2wd and 4wd make a difference on how high the body sits on the frame...but i had a problem when i wanted to go that same placement....the frame hangs a little lower then u think and there will be quite a large gap from the bottom of the cab to the top of the tips

youll just have to get the truck up in the air and mess around with the placement and what not...good luck

I was thinking the same thing. I noticed when I looked at that, the frame did seem low. I wasn't sure if it would be ok or not. Maybe could notch the frame for it. But you're looking at a lot of work.

if ur pipes r thin enough u could run it through the frame.
serious i've seen it done on hotrods and lowriders.
but it would be a whole lot of work. good look its a nice truck.

Through the frame is tricky because you have to make sure the pipes don't touch the frame at all. Even over bumps and what not.

i think it might be doable. the frame does run low but i'm thinking if i move my resonator right up to the stock cat, then run the pipe directly on the outside of the frame untill the rear tire. there should be enough room for my big tips to fit.

so it would go cat-resonator, then run the pipe under the frame to the other side.
could work?

The only way to really do that would be to re-route the exhaust from the manifolds all the way out like an old vette or something. The frame hangs to low all the way from the motor back. You're best bet would be to go through the frame, but you should box it then cut the hole or holes then box the opening to. i'm thinking about doing the same to my 1st gen. just need a welder lol.

I would do something like this but would go a lil beefier seeing as how the cut would be right before the spring shackle.

I was gonna do this but never got the motivation to go have the pipe routed I was just gonna have the pipe drop down then turn out it has been done, I think it was user who did it, I know it was a ft and he had pics of the entire thing looked great u ain't gotta cut thru the frame or any of that crap
