4.7L Engine Takedown *Lots of Big Pics
on 4.7. have all marks lined up. remember pulling off sprocket from cam that it did rotate a little bit. now I have to move the cam some to get the sprocket back on. is this right? Just seems so weird t have to do that. even the manual says it will rotate some. why? can you help...
Also, you do know about the colored chain links right? The links had a gold like color on the ones I did. You line those links up with cam marks. Last one to line up is down closer to the crank. I don't remember exactly what you do. I believe you line up the gold link with the peep hole in the can sprocket.
I sure hope this makes sense.

I'm actually in the process of rebuilding my 4.7 and have seen people in other forms talk about ho cams but I can't seem to find them anywhere now. are they still available if so does anyone know were I can get them was wanting to do some up grading while it's apart and if anyone has any other ideas of what I can do to it that would be awesome.
At one point, Dodge actually offered the 4.7 HO motor. But, that's been quite a few years ago, and today, finding the HO cams is akin to winning the powerball........ They just aren't out there any more.
