Best exhaust set up for dakota
I'm trying to get peoples opinions of whats the best exhaust set up to put on a V6 dakota. I want it to sound like a V8 especially a big block. I've definitely heard exhausts make a v6 sound like a v8. I'm not doing headers just cat and muffler probably, maybe H pipe or Y pipe. Any ideas would be great. Whats the best muffler to run and cat in your guys opinion? I want it to sound deep.
Anyone running anything on there v6 with success? I saw a couple youtube videos and the flowmaster super 40 and 40 series sounded good on the video. But I have this on my jeep wrangler and its good but very loud and drones at times.
I run a single in dual out 2.5" inlet 3 " outlets flowmaster series 40 with a secondary cat delete. 4.7L Very nice sound. Loud when you stick your foot into it, but purrs at cruising speed. very nice idle sound as well.
Im running a Magnaflow muffler and a Magnaflow high flow cat, and my 3.9L sounds real deep. Its even deeper then my buddies v8.
The only difference about the v6 and v8 is you cant match that sound depth at full throttle.

No cat-cherry bomb idol sounds like a big block, 500-2000 sounds awesome 2000-3000 absolute GARBAGE (rice burner)3000+pretty nice I'll be putting the thrush welded muffler pretty much oem. The over the top loudness is getting a bit much
You can't make a V6 sound like a V8. That being said, a cherry bomb glass pack sounds not to bad on them. To me anything else sounds awful on the 3.9, waaaaaay to deep and makes sound like you have a V6.
